rectangle study 44, 2012, digital c-print (single edition), 40 x 40 in.
“As an artist, I utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to produce digital c-prints. The concepts behind my artwork stem from my background in mathematics. My work is about simplification, logic, and order.
I begin my creative process by establishing a set of parameters for making compositional decisions, then explore different outcomes within those parameters. Common variable limitations include utilizing only whole number proportions or a fixed color palette. In all of my work, the grid provides a primary framework for constructing compositions. It is a container for simplifying imagery and a workspace for developing abstract arrangements.” -Jeff Davis. Learn more about the artist here.
